SET for Success

For Residents and Fellows

The Supplemental Education and Training (SET) program is an online experience designed to help residents build knowledge around the six ACGME core competencies and Psychiatry Milestones and learn about the business of medicine. Resident-Fellow Members (RFM) can access SET content through the APA Learning Center using their member log in credentials. The “My Portfolio” section of the Learning Center will help you track your learning progress. Courses are free to APA RFM and available at a cost to resident non-members.

For Program Directors

SET, working through the APA Learning Center, is designed to supplement and reinforce what you’re teaching in the patient care setting and help your residents’ progress in each Milestone. Some of the features that make SET an invaluable tool for training programs include:

  • The Catalog, offering the ability to search by topic, core competency, milestone, and activity type.
  • Improved tracking and reporting so residents can easily provide certificates and transcripts documenting their learning progress.
  • Content offered in a variety of formats, useful in both group and individual learning settings.
  • Business of medicine education to help your residents prepare for the transition to practice.

Program Directors at 100% Club programs now receive free access to all SET for Success courses – including the associated CME credit.
